Lou Allen, III, Named Head Football Coach

Louis Allen, III has been named Head Football Coach at St. Thomas More School for the 2011-2012 year. Allen, who graduated from UCONN in 2008 after attending with a full athletics scholarship and winning three letters, was a member of the 2004 Motor City Bowl Championship team, Player of the Game vs. South Florida in 2006, played in the 2007 Co-Big East Championship and played in the 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl making 13 touchdowns. He was the Assistant Coach on the 2008 New London High School state championship team and the Assistant Coach at St. Thomas More in 2010.

Prior to attending UCONN, Allen had a distinguished football career at New London High School and East Lyme High School, where he was on the First Team All State Football, was ECC Player of the year and made 2000 yard rushing in his senior year.

St. Thomas More School, located on Gardner Lake, is an accredited college preparatory boarding school for young men who have demonstrated intellectual ability yet have not realized their potential. Within a structured environment, the school strives to motivate, nurture, and strengthen the intellectual, moral, physical, and social development of every student.

The school is a member of the Colonial Football League. Allen will be taking over a young football program and is looking to build on last year's efforts. He is enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable and looks forward to instilling his players with these characteristics.
