Devin Ebanks, '08 Joins LA Lakers  

The evening of Thursday, June 24th, 2010 marked a momentous occasion for the St. Thomas More School community. Devin Ebanks, '08 was drafted in the 2nd round, 43rd overall pick to the two-time defending NBA World Champion Los Angeles Lakers. After playing for the Chancellor Post Graduate basketball team during the 2007-2008 campaign, Devin went on to star at the University of West Virginia from 2008-2010. Some career highlights for Devin include being named to the All-Big East Third Team in his Sophomore year, His 273 rebounds are the second most in school history by a Freshman and he was one of 30 high school players to be invited to the USA Basketball Development Festival in 2007 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO where he averaged just over 28 points and just under 5 rebounds per game. Also, this past season Devin helped the West Virginia Mountaineers to the 2010 Final Four where they came up just short against the eventual National Champion Duke Blue Devils. It is truly a proud day for the St. Thomas More Family and CONGRATULATIONS to Devin Ebanks!    

Three Chancellors Sign Letters of Intent

Coach Jere Quinn had three more members of his basketball squad sign national letters of intent to play basketball next season. This brings the total for the year to five players from his team that have earned these prestigious athletic scholarships. In the fall, Dominique Langston Signed with Quinnipiac University in CT, and Jake Jenkins signed with Bellarmine University in KY.

Today, Matt Conway signed his letter with The University of Maryland Baltimore County; Bryon Allen signed with George Mason University out of Virginia; and Tre Bowman signed with Penn State University.
‘This is a great day, not only for St. Thomas More School, but for these tremendous young men, their families, and the schools they will play for next fall. We are honored that we could help them get to the next level,' quipped coach Quinn.

Edwin Ubiles, '06 scores 27 for Sienna in Win against Fairfield

Edwin Ubiles '06 scored 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds while notching 3 assits and 1 steal as the Siena Saints rallied from being down as many as 15 points against the Fairfield Stags Monday, March 8th, 2010.  Siena beat Fairfield 72-65 in overtime Monday night to win their third straight (MAAC) Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title.

Edwin Ubiles '06 was also awarded the #2 play on ESPN's Top 10 Plays with a reverse two-handed 360 dunk!

Two STM Players Nominated to McDonald's All American Team

Jere Quinn and PlayersBryon Allen '10 and Andrew Douby '10 of the St. Thomas More Post Graduate Basketball Team have Playersbeen named nominees of the 2010 McDonalds All-American Team. On Monday, March 8th, 2010, McDonalds Representatives met the senior standouts at the local McDonalds in Norwich, CT. Both players, along with the entire PG Basketball Team and coaching staff were treated to lunch. Allen and Douby were presented with framed certificates and gym bags filled with goodies by McDonalds representatives Kevin & Jill Greene in acknowledgement of their acheievements.
Come cheer on our Chancellor PG Basketball team as they take on NEPSAC foe Winchendon in their 3rd meeting of the season. Both teams will meet tonight at the Albertus Magnus Sports Complex in New Haven, CT at 8pm in the first round of the National Prep School Tournament. GO CHANCELLORS!!!
