STM 10th Annual Career Day!
On Thursday, March 18th, 2010, St. Thomas More School held their 10th Annual Career Day. All in all we had 21 presenters consisting of alumni, parents past & present as well as many great friends of the school. Alumni in attendance included Joe Daly, '66, father of Kiernan Daly, '04, Bob Malerba, '66, Jamie Cosgrove, '83, Dennis Proto, '67 and Dr. Colonel Francis McVeigh, '71. Our parents past & present in attendance included Jack and Lynn Nelligan, parents of the late Brian Nelligan, '91, Jason Bugbee, father of Jason Bugbee '01, Joe Zakrzewski, father of Scott Zakrzewski, '11, John Deyle, father of Oleg Deyle, '13 and Steven Marshalick, father of Andrew Marshalick ,'10.
Some presenters that the students highlighted at the end of the day were Journalist Chuck Potter for the New London Day, Captain Judd & CO Herzberg of the Corrigan Correctional Facility and Officer Rockwell of the Montville Police Department. Officer Rockwell showed the students intriguing videos of police duties while Corrections Officers Judd & Herzberg used shackles on some of our current students much to their excitement. March 18th, 2010 was a great day for the entire St. Thomas More community. Career Day was a refreshing change of pace as the year is coming to a conclusion and we would like to express our gratitude to all those who were in attendance!
