Tim Viands took a second to reflect on the success that was achieved over the 2009 Summer Academic Camp held on the St. Thomas More School campus.

“We had some young gentlemen attending this summer that were in dire need of some academic structuring.  As always, the beginning of camp had its usual issues with a few of the young men with homesickness; however, we finished the Academic Camp with a very high level of academic honors.  It is our hope that these young students utilize the techniques taught here over the summer, either as they continue their academics at St. Thomas More School, or upon returning to their own schools.

The Summer Academic Camp is not just about study, but also about being proper members of society.  “The behavior displayed on and off campus was outstanding. This group of young men really came together over the summer, and I know that there will be some tears shed during our end of camp ceremonies,” remarked Viands from his office.  “We made a lot of young men very happy this summer."
