Faculty Member, Enrico Jelani Attends Inauguration
2/5/2009
January 20, 2009 was an exciting day in the history of our country. Barack Obama, whom I campaigned for over the summer, was inaugurated the first African-American President of the United States. I was honored to be invited to attend the event. I felt so very privileged to be a part of history standing among thousands of others on such a cold day. There was so much energy, excitement and pride that I braved the weather to see the parade and the mobile Lincoln presidential library. January 20, 2009 was a day I will always remember.
