STM Technology Upgrade
8/21/09
At St. Thomas More School, we recognize the impact that current technological advances have on a global scale. As in institution for secondary education, we are taking the responsibility to mesh together tech advances with traditional teaching methods. We have put together a comprehensive, campus wide initiative to make our entire campus wirelessly capable.
This endeavor is more complicated than putting some routers in the buildings. Our system will have the capability to block websites that contain indecent materials not suitable for our young men to view. We also, as an institution, will be able to control the times that the system is running, thus avoiding any further temptations to surf the web during class and study times.
Please click on the online brochure to read further about this project. You may also direct your Chancellors Fund/Parents Association gift to this technology upgrade. Also, if you have any further questions or concerns, as always, drop me a note at shennessey@stmct.org, as I always value your input in regards to academic initiatives.
STM To Upgrade Aquinas Hall
As you can see, this aggressive expansion will further enhance student growth and learning, and would also allow our teachers to utilize new equipment in a facility that has all the equipment, electronics, and laboratory space that is needed in today’s faster paced educational setting.
The new upgraded center will utilize the existing character of Aquinas Hall in outward appearance, but will be completely new on the inside, with ergonomically engineered learning areas and work spaces. Our students will be able to complete lab work sessions in a much faster time period, thus allowing for more experiments, which will ultimately increase knowledge bases and student retention rates.
I encourage you to make a tax deductible contribution to this wonderful project. This center will ultimately increase the value of the degrees of all who have graduated from St. Thomas More School, and will help us to maintain our competitive edge amongst peer schools.
