"Vision" in Physics Class
4/22/2009
Science Department Chair, George Vartenigian and his good friend Bob Erickson showed his Physics class some lessons in vision.
First of all, they were introduced to the idea of "optical illusions". Mr. Vartenigian then explained the human eye, its associated maladies and with "ray optics" went over the procedure to fix vision.
Mr. Erickson went on to explain light as a wave and the affects refractions have on waves. One example he gave was tsunamis are the result of refractions below the water in the ocean. He concluded with an overview of Snell's Law.
